Greetings and Salutations
I was just having a really boring day and I happened to stumble upon this commmunity. I would love to have a pen pal and someone to trade mixes with. My name is Cristy. I am freshman in college, 19 years of age. I'd like to think I have a pretty eclectic taste in music. So if anyone is interested, email me: thatjackson5@yahoo.com

Attention, All You Bitches:

We are in need of some new, fresh blood so get in and apply to the collective.
We seek users with tastes amongst diverse music, but without the hipper-than-thou bullshit that often comes with it.
We are without bullshit or drama, the point of discussion is music, the new, the good, the weird and all that shit in between.

So, bring your collection to the plate, and let the mono span out.

Hey, I was wondering if anyone wanted to trade mixed tapes/cds with me. I'm new to this whole thing... yeah I know, virgin sender. Anyone want to pop my cherry?

Haha, hope to hear from someone soon then.

I am the long-forgotten moderator/omnipotent creator of this long-forgotten community. However, I was quite glad to see that two posts have been made in the last two months.

Has anyone else ever visited Art of the Mix? I've been going to this website since I was 17 - it has changed throughout the years with fancy databases and MP3 charts. You can search by artist and connect with other people with similar "artistical" interests.

Also, I've been making massive amounts of mixes - which are available in either cassette or cd format (cassette for you purists {like myself} and cd's for those that like instant gratification and accessability to certain tracks {also like myself at times}). I am leaving on a jet plane to Kansas tomorrow, but will be back in town on 1/4 to satisfy any of your mixed tape/cd needs. Also, pen pals? I do that as well.

Oh, and my 24th birthday is on January 7th. WOOT!

Um. Hi.
Stumbled upon this community doing an interest search for "Tallahassee". Mixtapes are a weekly addiction of mine, lately of the indie/dancepunk/experimental variety. I will admit to a few mildly emo leanings, nothing serious. I like jazz. I'd love to trade but I really never have. Generally, I make these things so I can zone out into a world of sonic pretension and add underlying surrealism to my otherwise shitty life. But I'm nice enough. I like to hear new things.

Right now I'm Eeyore, though. I feel almost elderly, ye self-proclaimed "bitchez". So. No offense to the Livejournalling old.

I'm craving chocolate exlax and my GE fan.
Any particularly good songs that anyone would suggest for downloading?

My picks:
Fischerspooner - Megacolon
Berlin - the Metro
Gary Numan - Sex Dwarf

Now I have a couple of members in my all-so-exclusive club. Where is everyone from?! Introductions! Hurray!

The First Time is Always the Worst Time
I just started this community and this is my first journal entry. Hopefully, someone else will join and I wont have to continue this dialogue by myself. *Hmph*

Here is my mixed tape history:
I met a British girl when I was 15. We met at a conference in Michigan. When she went back to England, we started to send each other tapes of music we liked.

Almost 10 years later, I still like to make mixes and I loooove to have pen pals and receive things in the mail. My favorite band is the Smiths. I even have a cat named Morrissey.

So, blargh. I hope some people join.
